Present perfect tense is one of tenses that should be mastered by second year students of English Language at ENSC. It is, at the same time, among the problematic tenses for students. Students have great difficulty understanding and conceptualizing the implication of this tense and utilize it adequately in their language production. Learning present perfect tense is then really important for the students so that they understand its usage and use it correctly without confusing it mistakenly with the simple past tense. In this lesson, the students will learn about the differences between Present Perfect Simple and Present Perfect Continuous through guided explanation of the form and use of both tenses.
